The System

Audrey Lorde says poetry is the most
economical art form:

the bursting cherry trees,
spring reminders of fragmentation,
of excess, of numbness, of injustice.

Naming others as trouble when we
all have trouble.

We all have troubles.

At home, children are hungry,
eating a slip of notebook paper or stealing
from a church.

Where can I begin to begin?
